ComponentArt has just released a public beta of our brand-new suite of user interface controls built specifically for "Atlas": ComponentArt Web.UI for ASP.NET AJAX. The initial set of live demos as well as the full installation package are available at:

Our intention with this new suite of controls was to go beyond providing "interoperability" with ASP.NET AJAX, which usually means that the controls don't break within UpdatePanels. These new controls are really native ASP.NET AJAX controls: they inherit from the Sys.UI.Control client-side base class, and expose APIs which were built specifically for the AJAX Library type system. These APIs allow using ASP.NET AJAX client-side syntax to modify (or even create) the structure of a UI control on the client - without the need to do callbacks or postbacks. All client-side changes are then automatically persisted to the server-side state on callback or postback. For more details regarding these client APIs, see:
