TextArea submit form when user hits Enter Button in FireFox

I have a generic web form in ASP.NET 2.0 with a few controls and a submit button. The problem is that in FireFox, when the user hits the enter button in the multi-line textarea, instead of going to the next line the enter key submit the form. $addHandler for form's submit event not working in FireFox?

Curious if anybody can help me explain this. I have an ASP.NET page with the AJAX library in place, I'm trying to intercept the form's onsubmit event. The event handler is called, but in FF, the form's submit goes through regardless of what I tell it in my handler. IE (at least 7) is correctly...

Browser Specific Content/Controls

Im trying to make it so a .net button control will only be displayed if the person viewing the page is using a non IE browser. If the person viewing the page is using IE then the button should be hidden from view. - Is this possible?
