    Ben, thanks for your post. One question is, why did you use the password and not the username. Were you using this as a unique key or a temporary key or something?     I am posting because I came to this page looking for an answer. I got what I wanted but it still did not solve the bigger problem. I need a customized user creation, easy enough.
