Is it possible to update a control outside of an UpdatePanel?

I'm using ASP.NET AJAX (VS 2008, v3.5). I am using the EnableHistory to provide users the ability to use back/forward browerser buttons. That part is working fine. Discouraged about timestamps

I have read the forums and fail to be encouraged about using the timestamp to handle concurrency. I have SQL 2005 and am using the DataReader and command objects for data manipulation. The database has about a dozen related tables to each other in some way. Correct me if I am wrong, but using timestamps...

Hi, I think I know what you are asking, and my guess is that you may be trying to combine two parts of a solution into one . The default value for a column is a value set for every row in a table, until it is changed by entering another value. So that default value is stored in the database for each...
