  • A question on the basics when deploying a website

    Is there a reason why I should use the copy web site tool vs. just copying and pasting the file to IIS? I do beleive using the copy web site will make the job much easier for deployment, however is there a better reason to use this tool? Does it really matter? thx, xyz789

  • Access problems for .aspx files but not .htm files in virtual directory

    I'm setting up IIS 5.1 on XP Pro SP2. I have a virtual directory with 1 .htm and 2 .aspx files. IIS can see all 3 files from its explorer and it can display the the .,htm file in its browser with no problem but I get a file access problem ... Server cannot access application directory 'C:\Documents...

    Hi, I'm trying to run my website, I type localhost, or machine name into browser and all I get is a directory listing of whats in the folder configured as app in IIS? Could somebody please help? Harry.
