  • Re: Find - - Eliminate non-Searchable sub-directories?

^BUMP^ No one else has this problem? You're searching for a completely legitimate (through odd) string like "~/" and suddenly the Find and Replace wanders into a directory full of (say) PDF files. Because of the way PDF files are constructed, constructs like "~/" apparently appear...

  • Find - - Eliminate non-Searchable sub-directories?

Almost every web site I work on has a directory for PDF files (displayed or downloable). When I do a find in VWD Express 2005, I always "stumble" on finding the string I'm looking for in these -- which is, for the most part, NOT where I am concerned with them. Is there anyway of eliminating...

  • Generic List.Find( Predicate ) vs. foreach loop

Hello all, I often have to look for some object in a generic list. I used to do this with my own function FindObject or so which then did a foreach throught the list and breaked when the object was found; public class MyObject { public int Id; public string Name; } public enum ObjectSearchMode { ById...

You could use -errorstack to find a reason. Usualy a reason will be a mssing </form> closing tag. I've posted a regular expression for Visual Studio to find all <form > elements with no correspondent closing </form> s. http://blog.sharp-developer.net/index.php?p=4&title=regex-to...

  • "Find -> Bookmark All" loads up a page that I'm not looking at

Weird behavior. I'll do a "Find" and choose "Bookmark All." However, instead of doing the search inside the page that I'm looking at, it loads up a different page and does the search in that page. Very weird and very confusing. Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong...

Hi guenavan, Did you save before doing the Find operation? There’s a known Beta2 bug (recently fixed internally) where Find doesn’t correctly handle unsaved changes if the search scope is Entire Solution or Current Project. Could you try saving immediately before bringing up Find and let me know whether...
