changing layouthttp://forums.asp.net/t/291875.aspx/1?changing+layoutTue, 05 Aug 2003 21:36:07 -0400291875291875http://forums.asp.net/p/291875/291875.aspx/1?changing+layoutchanging layout yes, i searched the forum; but i didn't get what i was searching for ;) my question is about, how to change the layout / design of dnn (not with the xxl / ml version! [just the original ver]). sure, i found the css-file an changed some things, but if i look for example aht the dotnetnuke.com site, they have such nice frames around their modules. where can i change this? i also found the dnn / xml / templ. files, but that is not what i was searching for. so, where can i change the layout of the tabs. in which files? 2003-07-28T14:05:14-04:00291935http://forums.asp.net/p/291875/291935.aspx/1?Re+changing+layoutRe: changing layout The "frames" around the modules on DNN are called containers. You'll find in your portals\{guid} the container.txt and associated graphics. To chage the tabs layout, logon as admin and go to the Admin tab, you will see a "Tabs" link. Just as an example two of my sites are running on the same DNN install: http://www.santry.com and http://www.wwwcoder.com, check them out. Both sites are running under the same DNN install, but have two entirely different looks about them. This is due to the skinning provided by other developers of DNN. 2003-07-28T14:52:36-04:00291946http://forums.asp.net/p/291875/291946.aspx/1?Re+changing+layoutRe: changing layout aha! i got it. much easier than i thought. the container ist the solution. 2003-07-28T14:52:45-04:00300317http://forums.asp.net/p/291875/300317.aspx/1?Re+changing+layoutRe: changing layout I am using DNN 1.0.9, and do not see the add file, under file manager. Have I upset the code somehow? 2003-08-05T14:53:10-04:00300366http://forums.asp.net/p/291875/300366.aspx/1?Re+changing+layoutRe: changing layout When I removed the check on Preview I was able to see the change/modify/delete icons. 2003-08-05T15:31:17-04:00300375http://forums.asp.net/p/291875/300375.aspx/1?Re+changing+layoutRe: changing layout It's next to the browse button... 2003-08-05T15:39:23-04:00300791http://forums.asp.net/p/291875/300791.aspx/1?Re+changing+layoutRe: changing layout Patrick -- what skinning solution did you use? 2003-08-05T21:33:15-04:00
