Visual Web Developer Sudden Slow down....

Hello,

I'm using visual web developer on a silverlight project. it's suddenly become much much slower to start a project when I press debug, and to close it afterward and go back into editing mode.

I've had a read around the internet and there's plenty of posts about it being slow in general, and I've had a fiddle with some of the suggestions to no avail. I'm just wondering though if anyone else has had this sudden slow down, and if anyone has any suggestions as to the cause.

Before when I was debugging and pressed stop it would take maybe 4 seconds to come back to editing mode. Now it's more like 30s to 1 min, which is making it approach unuseable pace, so any ideas are gratefully received!

I've a reasonable spec machine by the way, 4 gigs of ram, i5 processor.

Does this happen with all silverlight projects or just one?

Hi Ken,

thanks for that, should have thought of checking that myself! I've just opened an old backup of the project which worked fine, and that ran at normal speed. Then I went back to the current version, opened that, and that now also runs fine! How strange. I had restarted the computer a few times before which didn't fix it, so I'm suprised it's working fine again now, but no complaints now it's working!

All is working now by the looks of it so thanks very much for your help.
