bottom of page clipped in chrome

I use chrome and recently noticed the bottom footer is clipping part of the page, when I answer a thread the preview and post buttons are almost cut off and I can't see the text.

i'm replying to your post and i do not have any clipping in any of maximized, restored, or full screen window mode.

FWIW, via the Chrome wrench icon, "About Google Chrome", i see that i'm running Chrome 18.0.1025.142 m on win7, intel i3 chip, 4GB RAM.

Please check your add-ons. If you're running something like AdBlock, try disabling it to see if the condition clears up.

Bummer, setting adblock not run on this domain didn't fix it, but disabling it did not. I guess I'll have to use a different browser for this site since I really don't want to completely disable ad block as I'm sure most people using it don't

Thanks for the report. I see that AdBlock for Chrome and Adblock Plus for Firefox both cause this problem. I have this logged as a bug and we'll see what we can do to improve the presentation when an ad blocker is in place.

I was able to disable AdBlock for both Chrome and Firefox for just this domain (forums.asp.net), so you might want to try looking at that again until we have the presentational issue solved.

I did find, if you're using FireFox, that you can disable the bottom value for the div that holds the footer-wrap class using FireBug - this does allow you to see anything that's missing beneath (though it does get rid of the footer wrap altogether!). Disabling the absolute positioning is probably the best answer, but ... you have to do it for every page. °_o

I suppose you could cross that with a script for GreaseMonkey to disable the style until this is fixed.

Worked for me. Kinda' lame to have to do that though. You think the developers could have coded it better and not have the footer overlap the content.

I apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced in trying to suppress the site's ads from appearing in your browser. We do have this logged as a low-priority bug.

lol... Yes, my full intention was to suppress the ads. Not really but I just have it on mostly for YouTube ads and it just happens to suppress ads everywhere else unless I disable it for a particular site. No big deal. And it's understandable that it's low-priority.
