Setting this to [ ] No will prevent ALL forums-related emails from being sent to you, including password reset emails (if you find yourself in that situation, please use the site's <a href="http://www.asp.net/feedback/" target="_blank">Contact form</a> to request password reset assistance). &nbsp;Setting this back to [ ] Yes will allow emails to once again be sent to you. &nbsp;This setting could be handy if you will be away from the ASP.NET Forums for a while and are not interested in receiving emails from the site while you are away.</p> <p style="padding-left:30px">2. <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight:bold"> Receive rich (HTML) emails [ ] Yes [ ] No</span> - This affects only the format in which emails are sent. &nbsp;It has no bearing on whether or not emails are sent. &nbsp;If [ ] No is chosen, the email will be sent in plain text.</p> <p style="padding-left:30px">3. <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight:bold"> Enable Email Notifications of forum/thread subscriptions and replies to my posts. [ ] Yes &nbsp;[ ] No</span> - This is the default value of thread subscriptions. This value is checked only at the time of your first post to a thread, and the thread subscription is set to this value. Changing this value has no effect on any existing thread subscriptions.&nbsp;To discontinue (or start) receiving email notifications for a particular thread, see #5 below.&nbsp;</p> <p style="padding-left:30px">4. <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight:bold"> Private Email</span> - This is the email address to which all email notifications will be sent. Note that the email volume could be large for some forums.</li><li><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight:bold">when new posts are posted in this forum</span> - If this value is selected, you will receive an email notification whenever a new thread is started in this forum, and whenever there is a new reply. &nbsp;Essentially you will receive an email notification for every new post in this specific forum.
