Hi,
I now have this error when connecting to that

failed to retrieve data for this request. (Microsoft.sqlserver.management.sdk.sfc.enumeratorcore)

I remember that a few days ago it was OK to connect to that. In the mean time, nothing is special.

Would you please provide more details? How did you get this exception?

There is a KB article you may refer to:

Error message when you click the Databases node in SQL Server Management Studio in SQL Server 2008: "Failed to retrieve data for this request"

To work around this problem, follow these steps:

Close the error message.
Press F7 to open the Object Explorer Details pane.
Right-click the column headers, and make sure that only the following columns are selected:
- Name
- Date Created
- Policy Health
- Owner
Right-click the Databases node, and then click Refresh.

This started to happen with me after installing Visual Studio 2010.

I don't get the Object Explorer tree as the KB describes. I just get an empty window when I close the error dialog, thus clicking F7 does nothing.

I Uninstalled SQL Server and reinstalled again with no luck.

Any thoughts?
