Compiler failed with error code 1

When we change something in our web application (one of the dll's or some code in the app_code folder or an .aspx or .ascx file), a recompile of the application is triggered. Then we often receive the error message "Compiler failed with error code 1" when trying to access our web application (ASP.NET, VB.NET). The error happens ad random and not all the time. We tried to disable the batch compiling (batch="false" in web.config) and this seems to help on some computers (we get this error less frequently) but not on all of them.

It seems that it has something to do with the Temporary Files folder of the .NET Framework.

Is there a solution for this problem ? I suppose it is a problem with the vbc.exe compiler. I'm using build 8.0.50727.42. I know there is a hot fix available 8.0.50727.93 as described in KB917452, but this is not exactly our problem. I can't test it because I can figure out how to get this hot fix. Any help would be welcome.
