I have my sites hosted with webhost4life for almost 3 years now. I never had any problem with them. They provide great support. Only concern is that the sites are not as fast as some other good but expensive providers. I think its a safe bet to host your sites with webhost4life if your site's response time is not very critical.

I have been using www.ultimahosts.net for a little while now and so far they are great!

The .net panel is great, they have SmarterStats which is awesome if you need to track

where your traffic is coming from and when you break it down, and they have fantastic pricing.

The response for support is good too and they are nice. I've had to of pelted them with

more questions than probably anyone and they have came through. I required special things

to work and they've do it all. I have no complaints so far. I compared virtually EVERYONE, and they won.

I've been using WebHost4Life for many years but their service is hit and miss.  Sometimes things are taken care of right away sometimes days go by before you receive a response.  We were happy with them for the most part so just a few days ago we signed up for a semi-dedicated plan for one of our products.

    BIG MISTAKE!

I've had nothing but problems with them now.  Initial disk space set to 3000k, can't set up ftp accounts, database server was on the shared server instead of semi-dedicated as promised.  I paid via credit card and still had to fax a sign up sheet, and then they told me they needed my payment information.  Domain name didn't propagate correctly, etc, etc.  The worst part about these problems is they are not fixed.  I just keep getting incoherent reply messages from their help desk.

It has been one giant hassle with WebHost4Life.  At this juncture, I cannot in good conscience recommend WebHost4Life to anyone looking for shared hosting.  I've burned up the last 5 days messing around with just getting my hosting set up.

    Hi Praglabs,

What is semi-dedicated database hosting? I am assume semi-dedicated means virtual private servers.

    Hi there,

But how does semi-dedicated database hosting differ from normal dedicated database hosting (ie shared)?

SemiDedicated = VPS, check their website.

     Hi there,

Ok try again. Does this mean that you get the whole database for yourself or is it just in a VPS? If it is in a VPS its a little ridiculous. I had a look at their  website for semi-dedicated and it doesn't really say. I had a look at some other specs and they are the weirdest I've ever seen for a VPS - 10 sites hosted! Semi-dedicated doesn't actually look anything like a VPS and I am not sure you can install your own software or even have root access. If anyone who actually has one of these semi's or VPS's please enlighten me.

    Cheers,

I had one website hosted in webhost4life starting from last Sept and already had 6 service interruptions (either database down or routing problem).

Can anyone recommend a more reliable hosting that is still around $10 per month?

For $10/mo, I would recommend Discountasp.  Their services are very good and I haven't service interruptions and I've been with them for a while now.

     Thanks.

Does anyone have experience on 1and1 MS Business hosting for $7.49 per month? When I was looking for hosting 1 year ago, 1and1 doesn't have asp.net supported hosting.

CrystalTech is the only place you should be looking for your .net 2.0 projects. Great service, great support and for a good price. I think I get up to 5 mysql and/ or mssql dbs with my plans.
