I can login via other computers, no one else is haivng the problem.
I can't login via my computer, what's the deal? I even turned the firewall off, still can't login. I reset IE to default settings, still can't login.
It's not that my password failed or login failed, if I put in a fake password and login then it fails. If I put in the correct password and login, it just takes me back to the home page and it's like I never logged in, (still says register at top and Login).
I can't use any account to login.
Any idea's? I need to setup a new DNN site and I can't do anything.
I know this thread is REALLY old, but the issue above is EXACTLY what one of my clients ran into as we were developing a DNN site and after much searching we found the solution. Posting here so others don't have to search so far...
in Internet Explorer, go to Tools>Internet Options>Security - select "Trusted Sites", click "sites" button and add the dnn site's domain to the Trusted Sites zone.
Worked like a charm. And restored my client's confidence in the site we were developing, while also reassuring him he wasn't nuts. :)

It sounds like you have set the Login page and Splash page in the sites Admin Settings to be the same page.
One quick way to check this is to try and go directly to the home page after you have logged in (default.aspx?tabid=36).
This should then show your home page, and you can go and correct the settings.
That is assuming that the first statement is correct.
