I have developed a composite control to provide automatic crud (Create, Update, Delete) functionality based on passing in a business object that implements a given interface. The idea is that the web page gives my control an instance of a business object.
My control then parses the contained controls, finding those which have a DataField tag matching a field in the business object and populating the controls text property accordingly. On postback, the reverse process would occur.
The point of this? To be able to implement a CRUD page with a single line of code.
I have the control in a working state so far as a control container, onto which I can drop my other controls, and it happilly persists them across postbacks etc. Last stage was to shoehorn some data into them, and I simply cannot determine how to programatically
access the contained controls from within the server control.
If anyone can shed any light, I'd be very grateful!
