Page.IsValid is a property on the server side Page object that you should *always* test if you are using validators and are about to save your data. Do so in the post back event handler method.

I tried to use Page_IsValid at client side. I leave few controls empty which was required (using RequiredField validator control). But it always return true. Any suggest what i am missing here?

hi there, just to update, it is working now.
if (typeof(Page_ClientValidate) == 'function')
before checking Page_IsValid I call the above code and it returns false as expected.
Do we need to call this piece of code before using 'Page_IsValid' ??

Thanks! You've saved my life!
I have read
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa479045.aspx but didn't find a word about the Page_ClientValidate() function, but that document was last updated in March 2002 although that page is still useful for people wanting to know more about Client Side
