I have just created a new tab in the VS2005 toolbox and added the Microsoft.Web.Atlas dll to the toolbox.

The only controls I have access to in the toolbox are

    • AutoCompleteExtender
    • DragOverlayExtender
    • ProfileScriptService
    • TimerControl
    • ScriptManagerProxy
    • UpdatePanel
    • ScriptManager

From examples posted on the internet i.e http://nayyeri.net/articles/How_to_install_ASPNET_Atlas.aspx i was expecting to see a lot more controls such as the MapController, ListView, ItemView and VirtualEarthMap controls for example

Any ideas regarding this or has the latest release of Atlas been cut down?

    Regards Simon

I think the ones in the article were in the "PDC Release" while you're using the "December Release"

There are great differences between October CTP and December CTP.

In the December version you should use standard ASP .NET server controls with Atlas UpdatePanel control. More details:

I've installed Microsoft.Web.Atlas.dll and I found more controls such as ListView, Textbox, etc, but I want to know if exists a datacontrol such as VS2005 GridView, because ListView doesn´t fullfill my needs.

    Thx in advance.

    Hi Simon,

I installed ajax and copied Microsoft.Web.Atlas dll to the bin folder of my existing application. However, I am not seeing any ajax controls on the toolbox. How did you "copy" the dll file to the toolbox? Please help out. I tried drag and drop the dll file onto the toolbox but still nothing. Thanks.
