Hello. I'm trying to understand the commerce kit and trying to decide if it would be able to modify to allow the shopping cart functionality but instead of actually purchacing the order online have the order emailed to our shipping department who will fill
the order and submit the billing to the accounting department. Is this possible?
Thanks Spire128, I found a tutorial at 4guys. It should do the trick. I'm just curious... is there a 2.0 version of the Commerce Starter kit other than the one at
http://www.commercestarterkit.org ? I want to use the 2.0 version but have only found that version with the paypal enabled. This should work I suppose, its just that I'm still a newb and want to avoid any issues
I might have with attempting to bypass the Shipping, billing and confirm purchase protion. Any ideas or suggestions would be great.
As far as I am aware that is the only Asp 2.0 version, I have not seen the source code so I can not tell you if it is a conversion, or has been re written from the ground up.
I am not to sure what u want to achive, I know the Asp 1.1 version quite well as I have used it as a way of learning dot net and adapted and changed it extensivly.
Hi, I'm trying to learn .net 2.0 and wished that Microsoft would have launced their 2.0 version of the commerce kit by now. I've been waiting. The 1.x version had good documentation. We want to allow existing customers the ability to place orders on stock and
email the request to our shipping department who will fill the order and send the competed order to accounting to handle the billing. So I will attempt to modify the kit to allow this. From what I understand I should be able to bypass all of the shipping and
paypal stuff while keeping the cart, status and such.

Hi
That would be easily achieved, just leave the kit as it is and add email functionality under the submit buttton as well.
