    Hi,

    I recently upgraded from VS2003 and VSS 6.0 to VS2005 and VSS2005.
I started a new vss database to store all vs2005 projects.

When I open a .net 1.1 project from the old vss database in vs2005 it asks me to convert, which I do. After the conversion is completed (successfully) I add the project to the new vss2005 database.

Now when I reopen the project at a later time using File -> Open Website -> IIS, I'm warned that the website is configured for ASP.NET 1.1 and gives me the question if I want to configure it for ASP.NET 2.0. Why does it say that ?
I converted it to 2.0 so why isn't it configured for 2.0 ?

When I click yes to this question the project is fine but the project is not under sourcecontrol anymore.
I need to delete my project on my pc and get it again from the new sourcesafe database (which will give me the configure for 2.0 question again) to have it working under source.

Why do I need to get it again after adding it to the VSS2005 database?

    Hi there,

For ASP.NET 2 based projects, we need to setup the .net framework as 2.xxx rather than 1.xx.  So, you probably need to open IIS and there you will be able to find an extra tab which is exclusively added to setup .net framework version for the particular web application.  Here, you should set it to ver 2.xx and it should probably resolve your issues.

    Thanks for your reply.
I checked in IIS and it was set to 1.1.x indeed, I changed the setting to 2.0.x now.

    Thanks!
