Can't Add new Entry (Greyed Out)

    Hi, I was able to run the downloaded Time Tracker site, create new user, new project, and category but I can't add new entry in the Log screen, the "Add Entry " button is greyed out the "Cancel" button is enabled.  Any idea why?

    I'm in the same boat also. Did you ever get this resolved?
    Any idea what might be causing this? Google hasn't been much in the way of help. :(

    Apparently it's a "starter kit". It looks like the package is being pulled out and being re-worked. Hopefully the newly released "starter kit" will work better :(

    I had the same problem. Trying to follow the programming logic is a mind-blowing task!

    Removed code in 'TimeEntry.aspx.vb' that was not allowing AddEntry button to function properly...

    'If UserList.Items.Count = 0 Then

    'AddEntry.Enabled = False

    'End If    Also, you cannot add an entry if there are no users listed in the Userlist, and appearently you cannot add the user logged in. There must be other users assigned to the selected project.

    You have to add yourself as a resource to the project before you can log time. Go to projects > list projects and edit your project. In the middle pane, you will see "Specify Project Members" -- select yourself and click save.

    You have to first Create Project the assign it to different Users..

    I have the Sam eissue and your suggestion unfortunately did not solve the issue.

    The button still grayed out.

    To be able to click it, I commented out the line of AddEntry.enabled= false;

    Why it is like that?

    Is the time entry, not having a query to collect the time per user and per projects and give the total time estimated?

    You can't enter time until there is yourself in the "Time sheet for:" dropdownlist.

    On the "Specify Project Member" box of the project configuration page, select yourself as a ressource (not just having yourself in the box, you have to select the item in teh list) and click save.

    Then you can enter time.

    You have to  Specify Project Member on project configuration page
