We are in the process of trying to improve some core areas to help make DNN an even better product. One of the areas we want to improve is the amount of QA testing that is done before a release if made public. Without the necessary manpower though, there
is not much more we can do than what is already being done. In the next 1-2 months, I will be putting some more QA processes in place and putting together a team of QA testers. This team will be made up of non-core team members, similar to how the sub-projects
are being handled. Therefore, we have an opportunity for those that want to be more involved in DNN to be more involved.
Responsibilities
1) Run QA scripts on internal release packages before the code is release public.
2) Verify that issues that have been checked into the vault really do fix the problem in the most recent release package.
3) Help write test scripts that can be run on each release to make sure all functionality works as expected.
Summary
The people who want to be a part of this team must be QA oriented and very detailed. Previous experience writing test scripts would be helpful but not mandatory. If you have a heart / passion for testing and would like to be a part of this new team when it
is created please respond to this post. Some information you might want to include in your reponse is: qualifications, why you want to be part of this team, etc. At this time it has not been decided on how many people will be on this team, but alot of that
will depend on the responses that are recieved.
Although the QA testing team will not have access to the core development code and be able to make changes to the code, this team could still have a huge impact on the quality of the core and sub-projects in future releases of the application. This is a great
opportunity to get involved and make a difference, but we need dedicated team members to make this work. Please only respond to this post if you are serious about being a QA tester and the responsibilities that go with it.

I am a newbie, but I would love to help. I have Beta tested for several applications, built a store with over 900 items using buycons from Quickbuy, before they went out of business during the Sil.Valley bust. I am publishing another portal today, and getting
involved with another TV station. This will be a community portal for all of West Texas.
Depending on time requirements, i too would like to help. Just a thought though. There are lots of folks who are shy about posting. Why not remove our posts here, pin the thread, set it to not allow replies and have an email we send to you. This way, once you
publically release the name of accepted people, those not accepted won't feel so rejected. just a thought from a sensitive new-age kinda guy

place. Emills can get misplaces or accidently deleted. I will probably send out a mass email to all thost that post here that they are interested. An example of the information I might ask for is: Why the want to be on the QA team, what are their qualifications,
etc. Right now I am just trying to get an idea about how many community members are interested.
Also, just in case this was not clear in the original post, everyone who post their desire to be on the QA Team might not be chosen to be part of this team. Just wanted to make sure that this was clear so that no one got upset later on becuase they thougtht
they were automatically on the team just because they posted to this thread.
