I downloaded the file but the zip file inside of the vsi file seems to have a formatting problem. All of the file names appear in a DOS format ( like CALEND~1.ASP ). This download was from the Visula Web Developer 2 page.
I can't wait to see a corrected version! Of course there is always possibility that I've also shot myself in the foot somewhere.
The ZIP file inside the VS file isn't meant to be directly opened. When placed in My Documents\Visual Studio 2005\Templates\ProjectTemplates\Visual Web Developer (for Express) the kit will show up as a template in the new website dialog.
If you double click the VSI file (make sure to remove the ZIP extension if there is one), the VS Content Installer will do all this for you.
I see ZIP files in My Documents\Visual Studio 2005\Templates\ProjectTemplates\Visual Web Developer
installed by the VS Content Installer in Windows Explorer, but I don't see anything under
My Templates in the new web site dialog. Same problem I had with beta version of VWD 2005. What can I do to correct the problem?
Hi I am having the same trouble I noticed in the demo language tabs these are not present in vwd 2005 express the path browse button and language dropdown are greyed out Ihave tried changing the path in settings still no luck onable to find a way to change
defoult language I gather from other writers this has a bearing on which templates are shown any ideas welcome
