I have it and I like it pretty well. I've been able to find lots of useful books, and it's particularly nice when I have a subject for which I need more in-depth information than I can find on the web.
They do have a free 14-day trial subscription that I'd suggest you take advantage of if you want to give the service a try before buying.
Does anyone know about any other
servicessimilar to the Safari Bookshelf? I'm very interested to know what are the alternative options - if any at all.

Hi,
just wanted to know if someone is working with "Safari Bookshelf" and would like to share his/her experience.
I would like to know something before suscribing to this service.
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards.

We had the service at a former job.
I liked it a lot.
Despite the fact they were short on WROX books, their selection was very comprehensive. Plenty of books on all the important subjects.
We're ganging up on our boss next week to have him get a subscription we can use.
