It was previously possible to link to an existing thread by utilizing the < post ></ post > keyword. It would be parsed and turned into something like:
In some of the older threads, you might still see a link that looks like this. When you click on it, it doesn't seem to work giving the impression that that older thread might be gone. While it is possible that the older thread was archived, a lot of the
older threads are still available, but you will need to manually change the URL. For the example above, this would be the correct URL now:

In some of the older threads, you might still see a link that looks like this. When you click on it, it doesn't seem to work giving the impression that that older thread might be gone. While it is possible that the older thread was archived, a lot of the older threads are still available, but you will need to manually change the URL. For the example above, this would be the correct URL now:
http://forums.asp.net/163706/ShowPost.aspx
Just take the correct post ID and put it into the URL. Whenever possible, I will try and fix the older threads, but for now, keep this in mind.
