I've only been using DNN for a couple of months, prior to that I used my own variation of IBS. I did notice quite early that it wasn't obvious how you can manage links, as once I put a link up, I have not ability to edit it, e.g. change name, or display order, or select the log option. I thought I'd be able to find them when I needed them, but I can't.

How do you manage links in DNN?

You probably have the Preview option checked. When that happens you cannot see the pencil that lets you modify a link.
Do you know the truth when you hear it?

Thank you, very much. It was indeed the preview option.

That question has got to rate as one of the most commonly asked ones around. I have done a few times too. Might be time to make the admin bar at the top of the page red if the preview or content boxes are not in the default state.

I'd have to agree with that comment, Phillip. I spent about two weeks thinking that DNN was broken until I (randomly) un-clicked preview and everything started working again (-:

Yep, I had a panic too when it happened to me since I had just changed some code on a module and had a few beers and couldnt for the life of me figure out what had happened, luckily Lorraine wasnt too far away and put me straight:)

I would say the confusion lies in the fact that you can add content but not edit or delete it.

    Heh ho
