  Trackbacks/referrals

  I am stumped; I have a brand spankin new installation of .Text. I made an entry in .Text, then went to my dasBlog on the same server and linked to the .Text entry. I quickly received an email notification that I got a referral from http://www.dottext.com/Services/Referral.aspc or something like that. That's wrong. So, I make an entry in dasBlog, referencing an entry in .Text on the same server. No notification, no listing in the referrers, nothing! Can someone please explain to my why this is not working? It's the same box! Vern

  Update: I have made entries going both ways with LiveJournal also; Still nothing for referrals in .Text Vern

  In some earlier builds, Dottext.com was the default referral on trackbacks. This is now removed since it obviously does no good. As for referrals, two things could be in the works: 1. .Text will try to not track referrals with in it's own domain/applicatioon 2. Referrals are queued so it takes some time before they show up.   Ok, I can accept that trackbacks/referrals might not work within the same domain. But how about the lack of "interaction" between .Text and LiveJournal? How long should I reasonably be expected to wait before seeing something? It's been over 12 hours since the entries were made on .Text and LJ referring to each other. Nothing showing in .Text admin regarding a referral from the LJ entry. Vern

  By the way; if dottext.com has been removed, what is in it's place? Does it now refer to the domain of my blog at least? Vern
