  When selecting File->New->Project no C# options presented ...

  only VB.Net and VC++ ... though if I choose File New->Web Site C# is the default language. Thanks!

  This is reported to the VS Team, I have the same problem but have only C# installed and VB.Net is the default language when I create a new Web Site.

  Maybe I was misunderstand you. During the installation, have you installed C#? If so, open VS 2005, go to the Tools menu, select Import/Export settings and reset the IDE settings and choose the CShar.vsssettings. I hope that will solve the problem for you. If not, you probably need to reinstall VS 2005.
