I'm newbie at Cassini Web Server, downloaded and installed Cassini on Windows XP Professional. When try to run: CassiniWebServer C:\temp 80 / Following error occurs: CassiniWebServer.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services Application has generated
an exception that could not be handled Process id=0xf18(3864), Thread id=0xdb8 (3512). I don't know why this error occurs, checked Cassini requirements against local resources, I got following resources: - Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1 - Microsoft
.Net Framework 1.1 - Microsoft .Net Framework SDK. I appreciate some help. Best Regards
try pressing cancel on that dialogue to attach the debugger (if it is registered properly on your system) to see what that can tell you about the error. David Legg
Do you have the 1.1 Framework installed? Are you sure Cassini compiled with no errors, and you had gacutil.exe that registered Cassini.dll with no errors? Run build.bat again and make sure you have no errors or warnings. If you are still crashing you can debug
(as David suggests) with Visual Studio. If you still can't get it to work, install WebMatrix and use the WebMatrix Web Server (http://www.asp.net/webmatrix)
