Today we release magicChat Version 1.1

    New Features:
-Full Globalization/Localization! Every String, Command, Client Side message... Date time whatever can be translated and globalized to any of the 200 cultures that asp.net supports!

-New Configuration to control client polling time. This defaults to 2000 ms (2 Seconds)
can be increased to relax the strain on the server or decreased for user experience.
-Xray into the chatstream. Lets you see the actual XML chatstream from the options screen. For
    debugging and the curious only.
-UI Improvements including a more robust way to enter chat styles (new styles surround selected text or are placed where the cursor is in the chat entry box.
-Users can now enter nearly any character into chat (not limited to US ascii anymore)

    Optimizations:
    -Now compiles under Option Strict!
-Refactored much of the code to eliminate over 50K from the compilied assembly.
-Optimized a number of functions for speed and quality of code.
-Identification and isolation of code areas that will bung up in DNN2

magicChat 1.1 is a free upgrade to existing users and the cost remains the same as version 1 $34.95USD. A source code version will be released soon (tomorrow or the next day) for an additional fee.

magicChat 1.1 for DNN2 is in a state of near completion at the moment. It is 95% bug free, once a couple of major issues are solved it will be made availiable to existing users of magicChat for free. It will NOT be sold until after the release of DNN2.

Visit magicchat.srmediagroup.com for a demo chat and a look see. We have extensive materials on site reviewing the inner workings of the module as well as 6 rooms to play in.

John, I'll work with you to identify and fix the bugs in DNN2 that are causing you issues. Have you logged them in the BugTracker on our GDN workspace? Contact me and I'll work with you to ensure that these are resolved in the next DNN release if possible.

The issues I'm note sure reflect defects in my code or DNN2. The quest for answers will continue and if I find any DNN defects I'll surely post them. I do believe that there is at least one issue with module caching. When I track it down you'll be the first to know.

    Thanks
