I'm going to be putting a free version in GCN - I was close to getting nata1 integrated with Rob howards engine in Forum II - its very very kick a$$ of course, but I had to make some changes because of size issues So I'm going to replace the current search
utility with the forum II search for content items, but I want to add support for other fields to be indexed - And weighted (forum II had the code there but is commented out, i.e. title would have higher weight than body) but what I'm going to do is add in
Nata1 - which you can view at viva benefits: 1. being able to control normalization (run, running, ran) patterns 2. Being able to control ranking (pages that get higher ranking, etc.) 3. being able to index rss feeds
4. tracking what people are searching for 5. switching between google, nata1, or index server 6. Full regex control over indexing, normalization, etc. I have a free version that only indexes 10 pages, but I want to make an unlimited version that works with
GCN So, I would need GCN to be strongly typed so I can check at runtime to make sure I'm running in GCN - anyone have any objects to strongly typing GCN? This brings up a good question - which I'll post on another thread - hiding Admin tools from non-developers
