    Hi,

I have installed VS.NET on my server.
    The default directory is:
    C:\Inetpub\wwwroot

But i have installed .NET in D: drive

I also want to change all my web applications to be running from the d: drive.

I want only the OS to be in c: drive

I am not sure as how can create and setup an Inetpub\wwwroot directory in d: drive with all my applications on it. I should have any file for my webapplication on c: drive.

Can someone help me as how can i do it..

Any help in this regard would be highly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    -sriram

    Sriram,

First, create a folder hierarchy on D for your web data. Then, right click the wwwroot folder (or whatever you call it), goto properties, and then security. Add "Network service" to the list. Click OK, OK again. The directory is now set.

Step two is point IIS at this directory. So, goto Start>run>inetmgr to pull up IIS Manager, right click the default website, properties, home directory, and change the path. :)
