Is it possible in CrystalReport.NET 2003 to generate multiple columns? The data source will come from XML file. Let`s say it`s a tournament table that will be generated in CR. On top will be the names of the challengers, on the side row will be the names of
the game`s guru, grouped according to their expertise. The data will be score after their match. s`thing like: Albert Alan Alvin Ivan GrandMaster 1. Jimmy 5-0 4-1 5-0 3-2 2. John 5-0 5-0 5-0 5-0 Master 1. Kim 4-1 4-1 5-0 3-2 2. Mark 2-3 3-2 4-1 3-2 Professional
1. Tim 5-0 3-2 3-2 4-1 2. David 2-3 2-3 5-0 4-1 3. Roy 1-4 5-0 4-1 3-2 Hence, the number of row and number of columns are not fixed since number of players are not known beforehand. I`ve tried `normal` details and grouping, I can`t have multiple generated
columns. I tried cross-tab component, but I can`t group the row elements. I mean I want the group name on top rather on the side. I know cross-tab can group but it put the group name on the side. I want them on top. Also, I don`t know if subreport do help.
Then, how about the page numbering? If the number of challengers are too many, I would like to have CR.NET to print the number of gurus again on the side of page 2 onwards, and continue the names of challengers on top. Does CR.NET has such power and flexibility?
Thank you.
