ASP.NET Futures can be downloaded. However, the license applicable to the downloaded program states that the term of the license is until April 30, 2008, until ninety days after the release of an updated version of the software, or commercial release of
the software, whichever comes first.
That means that in any event, that license expired on April 30, 2008, at the latest.
I want to be able to use ASP.NET Futures and have a valid license for it (one which is not expired).
How can I obtain a valid (unexpired) license for ASP.NET Futures?

That package became obsolete because it was an early developer preview of features which were added to ASP.NET later on.
