We are looking for a Senior Developer / Architect to design and implement highly-visible, strategic web-based software development projects. He / she will also mentor other developers, provide technical oversight, and help implement best practices for architecture
and service design. One recent project involved putting the entire personalized web experience on mobile devices and they're always developing new features (so this person must know how to create and integrate API's, develop the services between the backend
and middle tier, providing data to the front-end of mobile site / mobile applications) in addition to having lots of experience with scalable, high-traffic websites.
The dream candidate will have in-depth knowledge of pragmatic application design and systems architecture; be comfortable with performance profiling and tuning code and systems from end-to-end; have good knowledge of source control systems/ build systems;
believes in using the best tool for the job when selecting technologies; and has solid understanding in scalability, flexibility, security, maintainability, and reliability.
The Senior Developer/Architect will help develop project plans (including estimates for the entire life cycle of project) and can work effectively across project teams, collaborating with DBA's, QA, and User-Experience.
This role is 50% coding (C#/.NET as well as open source technologies), 50% design.
Requirements:
* 8 Years overall software development experience with increasing responsibilities
* At least 5 years experience in C#, ASP.NET and SQL Server ,Web service development; WCF and SOA experience a must
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills to solve complex design and delivery problems
* Experience shipping large projects as team lead (and can point to them online)
* Proven experience creating efficient public API's in SOAP/REST/JSON that scale to millions of requests per day
