I am using telerik mvc controls in my company to build a intranet applicaton for our customer. I downloaded the required dll's from Nuget. I wanted to ask if I can use the controls for free ?
Kendo UI for ASP.NET MVC is the successor of Telerik Extensions for ASP.NET MVC. Telerik Extensions are in a maintenance phase and will be actively supported (bugfixes and minor enhancements primarily) till Q3 2012.
You can easily migrate existing projects as Kendo UI for ASP.NET MVC is comperatively identical to Telerik Extensions. In fact, it has been built by the same team. Both products can be used side-by-side during your migration. And if you need help, our renowned
support team is here for you.
Attention! they are free just if you use them in a Web Site, but they are not free if you plann to include them in a product that you will sell in several copies.
If it is interal application to the organization then it is free
Its going to be internal to the organization of our customer. Also these are not the Kendo UI controls which comes with initial 30 days of trial and then we have to buy the license which I am sure of.
Your question is more related to telerik, and it is a third-party plugin. I think you'd better to post this question to their forum, you can get more professional help from there.

If you are using Telerik Extensions for ASP.NET MVC then it is under GNU Public license and it is free. Look for more details in this FAQ

Make sure you get the latest information from the Telerik site. I think the MVC Extensions are discontinued and replaced by Kendo UI for ASP.NET MVC.

I am using them in a intranet mvc web app which will be used by the customer and its staff. It will not be a commercial website hosted on internet.

As I said earlier, If it is interal application to the organization then it is free, if you plan to sell it then you need to purchase the license.
