I wonder if I can force a Postback in code behind?

Postback occurs from the front end not the codebehind. by the time it's in the codebehind the postback has already occured. What are you trying to accomplish? If you want the page to postback set a value that when the page loads it does a postback if
the value is x. Or you can add a timer control to the page that after x amount of seconds does an automatic postback.
Coding is like life, learn from the past and work towards the future, trying to redo past code, ends in lost time and nothing new accomplished.

U could do this by registering startup script as below, but y u wanna do this?
//May be u want this to add in some event handler in codebehind
ClientScript.RegisterStartupScript(this.GetType(), "PostBackScript", ClientScript.GetPostBackEventReference(this, "Args"), true);
