  Format string number using with compute method for the aggregated function!

  Hello all,

  I used the Compute method to calculate the AVG(salary). Here is my code:

  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  object avgObject;        
  
  avgObject = table.Compute("AVG(salary)", "department_id = 1");
  
  lblAVG.Text = avgObject.ToString() + " Average salary";
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  The result is 123456.7893299999999

  I would like to display the result with two digits after decimal point. I try to use string.format 

  but I am not sure how to format an object. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

  have you tried

  lblAVG.Text = String.Format("{0:0.00}",avgObject.ToString())

  hi, refer below code

  object avgObject = "123456.7893299999999";
  		avgObject = table.Compute("AVG(salary)", "department_id = 1");
  		lblAVG.Text = Convert.ToDecimal(avgObject).ToString("0.00") + " Average salary";
  
  		(OR)
  lblAVG.Text = String.Format("{0:0.00}", Convert.ToDecimal(avgObject))+ " Average salary";
