I am a huge fan of Orchard. I believe it's one of the strongest (if not the strongest CMS candidates out there) and if you are familar with .NET, I think you'll be a big fan.
It's built on the .NET Framework (in particular MVC) and has a strong community with tons of new modules and features coming out every day. I can't recommend it enough:

I like the new Umbraco 5, but I hear it has some performance issues and many of the community modules haven't been upgraded yet. I've used N2 CMS extensively (n2cms.codeplex.com) because it has a nice drag and drop interface which non-technical people realy
like. There's also Composite C1. I haven't used Orchard personally, but I have heard good things about it.

the most popular/well known are already mentioned: Orchard, Umbraco and DNN. I'm personally in favor of Orchard as I also wrote a hands on lab about it for Microsoft WebCamps (you can find it on my site for download).
However there are others which are less known but can also be of value to you, or someone else. The best thing is to take install
WebPI. Even if you don't want to take a look at any other CMS or application out there, just install that tool, it's a time saver.
Once WebPI is opened you can go to Applications > CMS. Note that not all of them listed are ASP.NET! You can get the same list by making use of the free WebMatrix tool (which has WebPI built in).

Look at free open source Composite C1 CMS - there is an intro here
My recommendation is heavily biased (I'm a dev on the team), but you can find dev ratings at
