  effective searching of forums.asp.net with Google

  for me, i've found that the most effective way to search forums.asp.net is to use Google.

  Key to these searches are the Google "site" filther.

  examples (as of this morning, April 9th, 2012), searching via google.ca:

                               SMTP ==> c. 75 800 000 results

  site:forums.asp.net SMTP ==> c. 24 300 results

                               SMTP  gmail ==> c. 1 700 000 results

  site:forums.asp.net SMTP gmail ==> c. 6700 results

                               SMTP gmail EnableSsl ==> c. 223 000 results

  site:forums.asp.net SMTP gmail EnableSsl ==> c. 4900 results

  site:forums.asp.net SMTP gmail EnableSssl gerryLowry ==> c. 6 results

                              SMTP gmail EnableSssl gerryLowry ==> c.  13 results but includes other domains

  So, adding site:forums.asp.net to your Google search with help you find the results you want from forums.asp.net.

  Use members' forums.asp.net username to find their posts:

  site:forums.asp.net bradwils ==> c. 12 800 results

  site:forums.asp.net bradwils gerryLowry ==> c. 6000 results
