I've been working with Access/VBA for several years and am just starting to use Visual Studio Express. I'm hoping perhaps some of you could answer a few questions about some differences I'm noticing between the two platforms.
For one thing, Access offered scroll panes, and I don't seem to be finding anything similar in VS. Is there a way to have scroll panes for viewing long lists of data?
Also, in Access 2007, there are comboboxes that allow multiple-selections. Access binds these to multi-valued fields, but presumably something similar in VS would be bound to a many-to-many relationship with a join table. Is there something in VS that
is visually similar to the MS Access combobox with multi-select? I like that these controls use very little screen space.
Lastly, any recommendations as to the best software option for migrating an Access .accdb database to VS? Unfortunately, the database in question includes multi-valued fields, so these would need to be handled. I don't think the Microsoft Migration Assistant

scroll panes = listbox
You can find multiselect comboboxes for free if you look around.
You can try the upsizing wizard.
