I have begun building a site in expression web but I wish to use vs2010 to code the code behind files. I have added the site through the file>Add>existing site function. The problem is that when I want to debug the solution it does not seem to find the
web page files. It just shows the directory of the vs solution. Is there a way to solve this? I understand that using the different programs may not be optimal but I have an easier time with the layout using expression web for some reason. I searched the
expression web forums but I can't find an answer. Thanks

The fact that you're 'adding' the website means that you've already got a solution open. Have you set the website as the StartUp project? If not, right click on the website (not one of folders or files) and select 'Set as StartUp Project'.
If it is set as the StartUp project, then start action may not be set. If this is the case, select the website and press Shift+F4, which will bring up the Property Pages. Select 'Start Options' in the menu and then complete the appropriate item. I usually
select 'Specific page' but leave it blank (this will automatically use the Default.aspx page).

I will try this. I got fed up with it and just recreated the pages in vs 2010 and pasted the code over from the existing pages. I have many more pages to build so I will try this next time I make one!
