  How to set initial value in textbox in footer template of gridview

  Hello,

  I have following problem. I insert new row  into the table using gridview control footer template. Everything works fine but I would like to set default (initial) value fo textbox in footer template. I have no idea how to do it. Please give me some hint.

  You need to use the FindControl method of the GridView control.  For example:

  var textbox = GridView1.FindControl("TextBox1");

  After you've databound the grid, use: gridview1.FooterRow.FindControl("TextBox1") and cast that to TextBox and set the Text property as you need.
