My apps was using a older version of Ajaxcontrol toolkit.
1)I downloaded the latest version from http://ajaxcontroltoolkit.codeplex.com/
2)After downloading copy and pasted the new version in my bin directory that over wrote the existing dll. After this I build my solution and I see a bunch of AjaxControlToolkit.... errors are popped up. So I tried doing the below things but no luck yet.
3)Now I right clicked on old Ajax Control Toolkit on my tool box and selected Delete tab.
4)Right click and created a new tab with the same name and right click on select choose items... and browsed to the location where I downloaded and unzipped the new Ajax toolkit and picked the AjaxControlToolkit.dll.
5)Then after a little while all the existing control vanished. hmm...
6)Then right clicked on picked Show All items.
7)I see all the items are displayed but all of them greyed out.
8)Restarted my PC then I see all the controls in all the tabs become active (enabled) except my Ajax Control Toolkit.
Not good :( Am I missing some thing here? I need to know how to enable these Ajax controls so I can drag a control on to a page and it automatically updates VS and then expecting to see all the ajax errors will disappear when I build my solution.
Not sure if I am thinking right and doing it right. Please help.

Hi,
Make sure you install the correct version of the AjaxControlToolkit:
Version 3.0.20229 2008-02-29 release of the AJAX Control Toolkit targets the official release of .NET Framework 3.5 and Visual Studio 2008.
Version 1.0.20229 You can also download the Toolkit for .NET Framework 2.0, ASP.NET AJAX 1.0 and Visual Studio 2005.
Version 3.0.40412
April 12, 2010 release of the AJAX Control Toolkit for ASP.NET 3.5 Service Pack 1 and Visual Studio 2008 SP1.
Version 4.1.51116.0
Nov 16 2011 release of the AJAX Control Toolkit for ASP.NET 4.0 and Visual Studio 2010
Then you could add the Ajax Control Toolkit to the VS Toolbox step by step at:http://www.asp.net/ajaxlibrary/act.ashx.
