I am planning to install LDAP to use for my website. The LDAP will contain usernames and passwords for my website and external software such as exchange and sharepoint. Since I am unfamiliar with LDAP, I do have a couple of concerns regarding the installation
of LDAP and hope that somone could give me some suggestions to proceed.
1.) Will there be any issues with installing LDAP in the same server as my website?
2.) What kinds of issues that I need to be aware of if I were to switch servers? i.e. Can the settings of LDAP easily be saved? What about the data?

Hi
LDAP is a directory service protocol that runs on a layer above the TCP/IP stack.
So
1) That have no relationship to your website.
2)it's easy to use, and pleas read this:Lightweight Directory Access Protocol
