I have a requirement from a client to come up with estimation for migrating an asp application to .asp.net . The asp application has around 60 screens and 5-6 COM components.
I want to know what factors to take into account to come up with an estimation and what is the approach to be taken for estimating such activities.
You best approach is to move one reasonably representative screen, spend a couple of days migrating it and looking at the pain points, and then extrapolate from that based on the degree of similarity between the screens.
Regards
Dave
