Hi
I’m developing a inventory/manufacturing/Production project for my client as you know manufacturing/Production process will have a huge data, so let me which is the best Reporting to show reports..?
Before I had developed one project in crystal report I have the following problems till now
1) Loads data very slow
2) In shared hosting no one supports Crystal Report.
3) Exporting Crystal Report in word/Excel/Pdf looks different and align or not same what in run time.
4) If we host our Project in hosting then we want to take a print of reports in client printer its very tough have to do lot of settings.
So please recommend me the best reporting tools to design inventory projects as u inventory will have lot of data in tables to show client in quick and in his format
Now what iam looking
1) Load data fast in 10 to 15 secs.
2) All Shared hosting will support.
3) For example im designing my invoice as a client format then it should look same in word/Excel/Pdf when it converts align wil not change.
4) More important is it should print in client side printer
Thanks
you got to tell us how much data is in here...say even if you want 10 - 15 secs load time in ideal scenarios, its not going to be intuitive in production environment...what you can do is to go for ajax processing...

In shared hosting no one supports Crystal Report.
Thats right, try with RDLC or else you got to get some thrid party components for telerik etc...

word/Excel/Pdf and print
most of the reporting tools have inbuilt capability to export and print...
2) In shared hosting no one supports Crystal Report.
Hmm, I doubt about your opinion. You can find CR hosting with asphostcentral.com. They support CR and the good news from you that they are recommended in CR service. Take a look their plan. Good luck. :)
I would like to know in the above link they have said SSRS It supports various data sources with different data providers. so can you please explain me with real time scenrio of both Report viewer and SSRS so that i can choose which is best
for my projects...
also let me know where can i download SSRS for VS2005 and VS2008?
after developing my reports in Reportviewer or SSRS will my service provider have to support or it will run fine there?
also will it be print report in client side printer without any extra setup?
I think best is to design report in aspx page itself using html, datalist, gridview, repeater etc.You hv lot of control here.
You can try .net in built report " .rdlc ".It is lighter and easier to deploy than crystal report.
