I have installed Sql Server 2008 R2 which installs VS2008 Standard, however there are only templates relating to Sql Server installed. Does anyone know how I go about adding templates for Web creativity? I do not wish to install IIS on this server as I have
a seperate WebServer 2008 running IIS, but I wish to utilise VS2008 - or am I stuck with the Express version of Studio on my Webserver 2008?
SQL Server 2008 R2 doesn't install VS 2008 Standard. This version is known as Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS) which is used in BI projects. If you want a free VS version with which you can create web projects you should look for
Visual Web Developer 2010 Express.
Regards.
