We have a big problem with Group Policy / AD throughout our domain. This has started to happen after a power cut or after I created a new policy ready for deployment. Please see screen shots below from the DC and clients. I have ran “gpupdate /force” on four
different PC’s and were getting the exact same results from all. I have deleted the new policy we were getting ready to deploy in case that was causing the issue, also I have rebooted the server to make sure it starts after the switch and all needed services
are up and running.
A few forums are saying this may be a DNS issue however an “nslookup” is able to resolve queries from the DC and our DC in the cloud. Also the DNS record for the AD Controller itself is correct and working. In the event log on the DC there seems to be an issue
with AD replication to the backup AD server.
Really unsure why this is started happening, hopefully someone will be able to help.
