If Microsoft is serious about pushing Silverlight, they should incorporate ALL the same functionality and features of Expression Blend into Visual Studio 11. And (or at least) also do the same by incorportating a lot more Visual Studio-like functionality
into Expression Blend.
I can't tell you how much of a pain in the a$$ it is to switch back and forth between one or the other. The main project that I DO work on (lifegunk.com)
is a Silverlight website and is so involved that it causes all types of problems with Expression blend. And because it's such a big project, in Visual Studio I don't have the niceties of Expression blend so it makes it harder to find things (like Resources,
Styles, etc).
I don't care that Microsoft wants to sell BOTH products (VS and Expression blend), I just care that I can work with EITHER ONE efficiently enough to create and work with my Silverlight websites. I really hope they are implementing this in the new version
of VS.
