We're excited to announce that the new ASP.NET website launch will be on December 1! During the 7 week beta period we took in a lot of feedback from the community, and made adjustments to the new site design.
We are planning on a 4 hour deployment window starting at 10:00 AM PST (GMT-8) on December 1. During that time there may be short periods where the ASP.NET website is not available, but the site will not be down for the full 4 hours.
You’ll notice that the overall navigation is largely the same, but you will see an improved site design and navigational framework that makes finding information on the site easier. Here are some highlights of the redesign:
Move to a newer Information Architecture (IA)
Content organized into relevant topic areas (Overview, Videos, Tutorials, etc.) to make information easier to find and to learn
Improved onboarding experience – developers new to ASP.NET will find it easier to get started
Important Samples and Tutorials are positioned prominently in the structure of the site so that they are easier to find
A modern and less cluttered user experience to give you a better look and feel
The site continues to run on ASP.NET and
Umbraco. We are using the UserVoice site to collect, track, and respond to
improvement suggestions for this website Beta:
www.asp.net feedback on UserVoice. We welcome your feedback!
